Coffee is grown naturally in Uganda’s rain forest mountains using traditional farming methods. The trees are planted alongside other crops and shaded by banana trees, creating a sustainable environment that enhances flavor and quality.
The land is carefully prepared by removing stumps, plowing, implementing soil conservation. Techniques like contouring and terraces prevent erosion, preserve nutrients, and create optimal conditions for healthy coffee growth.
Arabica coffee is planted with precision to ensure water penetration. Farmers use decomposed manure and manage soil quality. Seedlings are nurtured with rooting hormones in polythene-covered pots for optimal growth.
